We are truly in a meteorological rut right now with a large upper air low pressure cell locked in just to our west. The counterclockwise flow around the low is circulating very moist and unstable air in our direction and this is going to make for some very humid and unstable conditions here over the next several days. I expect lots of clouds, fog and haze at night and then some hazy sunshine developing during the day. Any sunshine will only help to destabilize the atmosphere leading to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Heavy downpours and damaging winds could occur as well. The overall pattern is not expected to change much as we head into next week so the first week of July is looking very muggy with the constant threat of a shower or thunderstorm.
