I can't believe today is already the last day of July! Good news...it looks like a nice day. We will have a sunny start to the day with more clouds increasing through the day from the south. Rain arrives later tonight as a low pressure system hugs our coastline. That rain will linger through the morning in eastern locations, but then clear out for Wednesday afternoon. Our weather pattern remains muggy and unsettled for the rest of the work week.

This Afternoon - A low pressure system will be heading our way up the eastern seaboard. Ahead of this low clouds will start to spread into Maine and New Hampshire from south to north. Even though the clouds will be increasing through the day the precipitation will hold off until later tonight. Highs today will be right around 80 degrees. Coolest at the coast.

Tonight - Mostly cloudy skies. Rain will start to develop after midnight especially along the coast. Lows will be around 60 degrees.

Wednesday - The steady rain will move into eastern Maine through the early morning hours. We will start to see clearing in western and southern Maine first. Skies will continue to clear east later in the day. A front approaching from the west could bring us a few scattered late day showers, but for the most part I think the will be holding off until dark. Highs will be around 80 degrees.

Extended Forecast - Partly cloudy skies on Thursday with humid conditions. Just the slight chance of some scattered afternoon showers. Another humid day on Friday with partly cloudy skies. Your start to the weekend is looking pretty good. Still a little humid with highs in the mid 80s and partly cloudy skies. Next chance of showers and thunderstorms will be Sunday afternoon.
