PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino's strained hamstring appears close to full strength. Reports out of Boston are stating that he's scheduled to rehab in Portland on Tuesday.

Victorino will have a medical checkup on Monday and if he's cleared, he'll be sent on assignment with the Sea Dogs.

The 11-year veteran was placed on the 15-day DL on March 31 after tweaking his right hamstring in the final Spring Training game of the season.
