(NEWS CENTER) -- Move on over Paul Bunyan. The Barbarian is back in town.

Lincolnville native Tim Boetsch, also known as the barbarian in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, has returned to Maine to prepare for his August 16th fight against Brad Tavares when the UFC comes to Bangor.

Boetsch has spent the last two weeks training with Marcus Davis over at his Team Irish fitness academy in Brewer.

While this will be his first fight in his home state, 'the Barbarian' knows what it's like to win in Maine. He was a four-time high school wrestling state champion during his time at Camden Hills.
