Sox lose in Cleveland

(NEWS CENTER)-- After a shaky start Cleveland pitcher Justin Masterson propelled the Indians to a 3-2 victory over the Red Sox, ending their 7 game winning streak.

The Indians took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. With bases loaded Lonnie Chisenhall hit a two-run single to bring Michael Brantley and Michawl Bourn home.

The Indians extended the lead 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning. John Lackey threw a soft pitch to Asdrubal Cabrera who singled the ball, sending it just out of the reach of Dustin Pedrioia.

In the top of the eighth, Xander Bogaerts got the Sox on the board 3-2 when he sent a two run blast deep into right field to pull the team within one .

The two teams will meet again tomorrow night in Cleveland for game two of the three game series.
