CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (KRIS) --For five days Imelda Garnes and her sisters, Sonia Hossfeld and Emma Ballesteros, have been glued to the television looking for signs that their family members are alive.

The sisters have lived in Corpus Christi, Texas for about 20 years, but were born in the Philippines, where most of their family still lives.

They lost contact with every single member of their family Wednesday as the largest storm on record, Typhoon Haiyan, approached the Philippines.

The sisters are from Tacloban City, one of the hardest hit and most devastated by the storm.
