AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Servicemen and community members of different religions will bow their heads together before breakfast Thursday morning at the annual Interfaith Prayer Breakfast.

The Maine National Guard hosts the patriotic event at the Augusta Armory with a goal of celebrating diversity of faith and working to build better understanding and unity. Chaplain, Brig. Gen. Alphonse J. Stephenson, director of the National Guard Joint Chaplain Corp's is the guest speaker and Gov. LePage will speak as well.

The cost of the breakfast for those who choose to eat is $10 per person and the ceremony begins at 7 a.m.
