It's an event that happens less frequently than the Olympics or the World Cup: The Acadian World Congress. This year it's happening in Aroostook County, Maine; New Brunswick, Canada; and Quebec Province, Canada.
Every four years, families reunite, people march in parades and entertainment abounds with bands, plays and story-telling. Oh, and an international game of Tug O' War across the St. John River.
Among the groups performing at the 2014 World Acadian Congress is Boreal Tordu. Founded by Robert Sylvain and Steve Muise, the group has given the pair the chance to not only play music they love but to explore their own heritage and keep up on their French.
