"How To Kill A Zombie" is a family affair.
It's a lighthearted movie about the zombie apocalypse, made by a mother, a father and their son.
Ben McLean wrote and stars in the film, his dad Bill produced it an also stars in it and mom Tiffany directed and edited.
The movie is getting screenings at theaters around the state and it has been picked up for international distribution.

THOMASTON, ME: What has been described as a labor of love for dozens of Mainer's who volunteered their time, talent and energy for a 3-month movie shoot in the fall and early winter of 2012 has become a huge Maine hit! Now, the Mid-Coast will get to find out what the buzz is all about, when "How to Kill a Zombie" premiere's at Flagship Cinema's in Thomaston on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 7pm. It will run thru August, 21st at 1pm and 7pm daily.
With a running time of 92 minutes, including out-takes, "How to Kill a Zombie" is an action, comedy, zombedy.
Producer and star, Bill McLean said, "This has been a family and community affair. My son, Ben McLean was 18 when he wrote the script. My wife Tiffany, directed and edited the movie, but the film could not have come together without the generous support of over 200 cast and crew who all volunteered their time and talent for the 3-month shoot."
McLean continued, "The film was just picked up by Maxim Media and will be distributed world-wide later this year (fall/winter 2014) to over 180 countries. "How to Kill a Zombie" recently ran for a week at the Auburn Flagship Cinemas, and came in 2nd at the box office with 9 big budget Hollywood movies vying for the top spot."
Actor's from the film will be attending the Saturday night showing at 7pm and will participate in a Q&A session after the film. The movie is family friendly for children ages 10 and up. McLean stated, "It's a comedy first, and action, zombie flick second. During the Auburn showing, many elderly patrons laughed and loved the film.
