Westbrook native Morgan Rielly has been interested in history for as long as he can remember. In high school, he took it upon himself to reach out to World War II veterans in his community and record their stories. Rielly spent the next few years interviewing men and women throughout Maine. He collected twenty-five stories in a book entitled, "Neighborhood Heroes: Life Lessons from Maine's Greatest Generation." Rielly learned something from each veteran, which led to the chapter titles, from "Have A Positive Attitude" to "You Have to Give Before You Receive." The book came out while Rielly was a senior in high school. He will be attending Bowdoin College in the fall.
