STRATHAM, New Hampshire (NECN) -- A 94-year-old Market Basket employee who had his hours cut because of the recent conflicts in the grocery chain is now receiving support from the community.
Arthur St. John worked as a part-time employee at a Market Basket store in Stratham, New Hampshire. He worked to supplement his Social Security checks.
A local woman set up a fundraiser for him on the website gofundme earlier in August with a goal of raising $6,500 for St. John. As of Sunday, more than $8,000 was raised.
