(NEWS CENTER) -- Just a week after the return of New Hampshire teen Abigail Hernandez, her mother, Zenya Hernandez, appeared in a TODAY Show story.
In the interview, Zenya refuted rumors that Abigail was pregnant. She also said she firmly believes her daughter did not run away nor did she know the man who abducted her.
The story also included a clip of Abigail reuniting with friends, the first time the public has seen any image of Abby. The story said the police have been questioning them every day since Abigail's return.
The TODAY Show received a statement from Abigail, "My gratitude is beyond words. It's an incredible feeling to be home, I believe in my heart that your hopes and prayers played a major role in my release." It's the first statement Abigail has made herself.
Zenya said in the interview she will find the person who took Abigail and will find out what happened. She also said she has encouraged her daughter to talk to police, but she knows it has been hard on Abby.
