BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The United States Attorney's office said a Corinth man pleaded guilty Monday to possession of child pornography.

According to court records, David Livingston Brown, 40, email a video containing child pornography to an undercover FBI agent in April 2013. On July 18, 2013, authorities executed a search warrant was executed at Brown's residence in Corinth. The Attorney's office said Brown admitted to sending and receiving images of child pornography by email and collecting hundreds of images and videos of child pornography over several years. Authorities seized computers and computer storage devices and a forensic examination revealed hundreds of images and videos of child pornography.

The defendant faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.

The FBI and Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit worked on the investigation together as part of Project Safe Childhood.
