WATERBORO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Waterboro Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident Sunday night.

Authorities say they found a heavily damaged truck on Town House Road near the Webber Road intersection. When they arrived, 49-year-old Dana J. Allen has been ejected from the vehicle. He was the only person in the truck at the time of the crash.

Allen was conscious and alert when rescue personnel arrived. Waterboro Rescue transported him to Maine Medical Center. Allen's current condition is unknown.

Police believe that Allen veered off the roadway, "overcorrected" his mistake and went into a skid, crossed over the lane and went off the road, hitting several trees and rolling over before coming to rest.

The crash is under investigation by the York County Sheriff's Office, and they say speed and alcohol are possible factors in the crash.
