The Coastal Humane Society is working hard to surpass their goal of adopting out over 800 animals this summer. Kelsey Fabian had fun meeting one of the puppies, Henry.
(NEWS CENTER) -- Only a few weeks into the adoption challenge and the Coastal Humane Societyis well on its way to meeting its goal of adopting 822 animals. Coastal Humane has already adopted 226 animals and has more than two months left to try and beat their previous adoption record. The goal is part of the ASPCA Rachael Ray 100K Challenge, which challenges shelters to improves their adoption numbers. The shelter that improves the most will receive $100,000 from ASPCA.
The challenge started June 1 and goes until August 31, 2014. Every Friday the adoption fee is only $50. Throughout the summer Coastal Humane is having special prices and events.
