PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Monday held another annual race, but this one was closer to home. The Patriot's Day 5-miler, held in Portland, began with a moment of silence to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing.

The race started at noon at the Portland Clubhouse on Cumberland Ave. This year, a portion of the proceeds are being donated to the One Fund.

In addition to the One Fund, the race also supports college scholarships for deserving seniors associated with the Boys and Girls Clubs.
