Conway, N.H. (NEWS CENTER) -- On the 6-month anniversary of Abby Hernandez' disappearance her mother invited NEWS CENTER into her home to answer questions and discuss the case that has baffled investigators.
"My gut tells me she did not leave willingly, that's my gut, that's what I think", Zenya Hernandez said.
She answered some of the questions that remained unanswered throughout the investigation into her daughter's disappearance. She said Abby was not the kind of person who would not contact her for days.
She had never run away before. She had plans she was looking forward to.
"She definitely had plans for the near future here, she didn't take anything with her other than what she had with her that day", she said.
Abby was last seen leaving Kennett High School in Conway, N.H. on Oct. 9th.
Her mother says Abby was happy and in good spirits leading up to that day and her disappearance came out of the blue.
"It was a shock and it still is. We're still searching for answers, I'm still thinking how could this have happened, what happened?" she said.
On this the 6-month anniversary of Abby's disappearance friends, classmates and relatives gathered at Zenya Hernandez' home to show their support for her and to tell her they'll never give up on Abby.
