How much can you change in just 13 weeks? A pilot program at Maine Pines Racquet and Fitness set out to answer that question, asking participants to commit to 13 weeks, learning the tools on how to live a healthy lifestyle. This program didn't feature any quick fixes and was far from a one size fits all type diet. Instead participants were guided slowly through their changes. Each week learning about different subjects like stress, behavior modification, and how to read a nutrition label.
What's one of the best things you can do for your diet? Jessica Bailey of Maine Pines Racquet tells us to cut out the processed foods. "By cleaning out your cabinets of processed foods, you start to feel less stress and how food really effects how you feel."
Exercise also played a big role in the program. Each week participants learned different exercises and more importantly how to do them safely.
