ABBOT, Maine

(NEWS CENTER) -- Fourth Graders From Piscataquis Community Elementary School got a chance to hook a few lunkers Friday morning at Drummond Pond in Abbott. It was a nice morning to be out fishing, and some of these kids pulled out a few nice brook trout from the water. Some of them even puckered up and kissed their catch.

"i told them that if I got a fish I would totally kiss it because when I was little I would always catch frogs and kiss frogs...so fish are no different," explained student Taylor Folsom.

This litte fishing trip was sponsored by Friends of Community Fitness in Guilford and put on by volunteers with Hooked on Maine Outdoors. It's mission is to get kids outside enjoying all Maine has to offer.
