AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- New detailswere released on Tuesdayin the case of a man accused of killing a fellow inmate in the Maine State Prison.

According to a police affidavit, Richard Stahursky told police that he stabbed Micah Boland to death because Boland had lied to prison officials about Stahursky, causing him to lose his job as a hallway worker in the prison.

He also told police he doesn't like child molesters, and Boland was in prison for sexually assaulting a young girl.

The affidavit goes on to say that Stahursky hadn't initially planned to kill Boland, only beat him up -- but Stahursky said when the two exchanged words, he blacked out. Police say he told them "apparently, I over did it."

In an email inadvertently leaked to the press, the state's medical examiner's office says Boland was stabbed 87 times, in the face, neck and torso.
