BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --As the state high school basketball tournament comes to a close next weekend, arena officials say it's been quite the first year for the Cross Insurance Center.
As of Sunday, an estimated 40,000 people and counting have paid for admission to watch games at the new arena. General Manager Mike Dyer says that number could possibly have already surpassed last years total attendance at the old 'mecca.'
As for concession sales, those are up as well. Concession sales are about 30% higher than in 2013.
