NEWS CENTER's Caroline Cornish is in the 207 kitchen with a recipe for her daughter's favorite cake: A banana cake. It's easy and you can claim its healthy because it has bananas in it! (No, you can't).

RECIPE:

BANANA CAKE WITH WHITE FROSTING

Wet mix:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
2 mashed bananas
1/2 cup sour cream

Dry Mix:

1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Mix the dry mix. Mix the wet mix. Then mix them together.

Pour into a greased 9x13 in. pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Frosting

1 stick of butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1 lb box of confectioners sugar
pinch of salt
3-4 tbs milk
