SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WOAI) -- Three San Antonio, Texas women who claim they have been wrongfully imprisoned for the last 15 years walked out of jail Monday night.
Family members waited all day outside the Bexar County Jail for their release.
Cassandra Rivera, Kristie Mayhugh and Elizabeth Ramirez were in district court Monday as prosecutors made a deal to allow the women to bond out of jail.
The three women -- along with a fourth woman who was released last year -- were all accused of sexually assaulting two girls.
They were convicted in 1998 and have been in prison ever since.
All four women have maintained their innocence over the years.
The fourth woman, Anna Vazquez, was released after evidence in the case against her was ruled as flawed. While the women have been released, their convictions have not been overturned.
Their lawyers will likely seek to have the women exonerated.
