PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The 2013 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs were one of the best for Bruins forward Daniel Paille. In turn, the offseason also happened to be one of the shortest as he now gets ready for the '13-'14 season.
The man who scored both game-winning goals for the Bruins in the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals made a promotional appearance at Hadlock Field on Saturday, where he threw out the ceremonial first pitch then signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.
When talking about his limited time off over the summer the nine-year NHL veteran said, "Obviously it's been short for us, but I think that comes with the territory when you go so far and I think we should kind of embrace that moment and realize the season is coming and be ready for it."
The Bruins begin their training camp on September 11 with their season opener October 3 at TD Garden against Tampa Bay.
