WALDOBORO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Police in Waldoboro say they have made an arrest in the dog abuse case.
Officials have arrested Aaron Armstrong, age 32 of Waldoboro. He has been charged with "Aggravated Animal Cruelty" He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail. Under Maine criminal law, "Aggravated Animal Cruelty" is a Class C felony.
Police say they originally received the complaint from Waldoboro Animal Control Officer Laurice Ducharme who took the dog to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter approximately 2 weeks ago as a stray.
Following a medical examination, they discovered the dog, Lady, had been shot with approximately 100 Bb's.
