NAPLES, Maine(NEWS CENTER) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Department says no one was injured in a small plane crash in Naples Saturday morning.

Chief Deputy Naldo Gagnon said the sheriff's department responded with Naples Fire/EMS for the report of a plane crash on Long Lake just before 11 a.m.

Gagnon said the investigation revealed a single-engine Cessna crashed while attempting to land on the lake.

The plane sustained minimal damage, and the pilot was not injured in the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration is continuing the investigation.
