SKOWHEGAN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Quick action by a Clinton woman this week helped save the lives of two people at Lake George Regional Park.

Renee Dostie had gone to the park for a swim with her kids whena mother's cries alerted her to a 5-year-old girl that was struggling in the water. Dostie swam out to help the girl. She then found that there were two people in the water that needed rescuing.

The little girl's father, Paul Bornemann III of Nantucket, Massachusetts, was lying unconscious under the water.

Dostie got both people to shore. Bornemann recovered once he was on dry land. Dostie says despite her efforts, she doesn't feel she's a hero.

"I would like to think that if somebody...if I was that mother and that was my child that somebody would help me," she said, "it was a scary thing and I can't imagine how scared she thought."

Paul Bornemann IIIwas taken to the hospital for treatment and kept overnighton Thursday. He has since been released.
