Vivien Leigh joined the NEWS CENTER team in November 2002. Vivien came to NEWS CENTER from KSDK-TV in St. Louis where she was the Illinois Bureau Chief. Prior to that, she was a general assignment reporter at KABB/KRRT-TV in San Antonio. She also worked as bureau chief at KRGV-TV (serving the Rio Grande Valley), and as a news writer for KURV-AM radio in Edinburg, Texas.

In May 2001, Vivien received the 1st Place "Best Spot News" award from the Missouri Associated Press for "Meramec River Accident." The same story was also awarded a St. Louis Regional Emmy and a "Best of Gannett." She also received a "Best Spot News" award from the Texas Associated Press for her coverage of the Matamoros Prison Riot in Mexico. She has received a "Best Serious Feature" Award from Women in Communication. Vivien was selected as a finalist for the Vivian Castleberry Award from the TV News Association for Women Journalists' Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter in 1998.

In 2005 she received an award from the Autism Society of Maine recognizing her reporting on Autism and other related disorders. Leigh enjoys volunteering for the community. In 2001, she trained with the local Gateway Chapter for the St. Anthony's Triathlon in Florida. Along with eight other chapters, they helped The Leukemia Lymphoma Society raise $1.2 million dollars for cancer research and patient services.

Leigh has a B.A. in Radio, Television and Film and attended college in Texas, Germany, and Mexico. She speaks English, German, and Spanish.

In her spare time, Vivien enjoys hiking with her husband Jeff and their three children, Jacob, Olivia and Daniel.
