PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Those of you who'd like a taste of Greece should look no further than the city of Portland this weekend.
The Greek Food Festival is underway at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on the corner of Pleasant and Park Streets. This party is all about the food and music, and the crowds certainly lined up Thursday evening.
The event's been going for almost 30 years, and organizers say there's a reason people keep coming back. "I don't want to brag, but we have fabulous Greek food," Angela Moustrouphis said. "We make everything from scratch, right here in our kitchen. And some of the ladies in our parish have been working here for years and years."
The festival continues Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m until 9:30 p.m.
