Dineen named coach of Canadian U-18 men

NEWS CENTER - Kevin Dineen led one Canadian team to a gold medal. Two months later, he'll try to do the same thing with another branch of Team Canada.

The former Portland Pirates and Florida Panthers coach has been named the head coach of the Canadian Men's Under-18 national team. The primary focus of Dineen's duties will be to lead Canada at the IIHF World U-18 Championships in Finland starting on April 17. The Canadians are the defending gold medalists having won the 2013 tournament in Sochi, Russia.

In February, the Canadian women all five of their games in the Olympics en route to their third consecutive Olympic gold.
