(NEWS CENTER) - Sophomores Devin Shore and Ben Hutton played a big part in the Maine Black Bears turnaround in 2013-14. It's something the rest of Hockey East noticed as well voting them to the league's first team.
Hutton matched a school record for goals by a defenseman with 15, a mark which led the country. He also added 14 assists. Shore led the Black Bears in scoring with 43 points (14 goals, 29 assists).
It's just the second time in the last 14 seasons that two Maine players were selected to the first team in the same season (2012: Spencer Abbott, Brian Flynn).
