PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The rebirth of pro boxing at the Portland Expo just a got a little bit more historic. On top of hosting an event for the first time in 21 years, all-time boxing great Roberto Duran will be apart of the event.
The 62-year old is in Portland this weekend as a guest of the Portland Boxing Club and will be in attendance for Saturday's fights as well as sign autographs.
The Panamanian held world championships in four different weight classes (lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, and super middleweight) and became just the second boxer to fight in five different decades. He had a career record of 104-16 with 69 knockouts.
The bouts will begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6.
