Fargo, ND (Sports Network) - Forget the familiar backdrops of Michigan Stadium and the blue and gold, and the sea of orange at Clemson's Death Valley. ESPN's popular Saturday morning "College GameDay" bypassed the traditional BCS football power route for this weekend's slate of matchups.

Gameday is in Fargo to highlight the two-time defending FCS national champion North Dakota Bison.

The GameDay crew is already in North Dakota, setting up for the show's fourth broadcast surrounding FCS football. The broadcast will feature Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard.

Instead of setting up at the Fargodome, the cast will be outside the Fargo Theatre in downtown.

It's hard to ignore the Bison, who opened the season with a come-from-behind win at defending Big 12 co-champion Kansas State. They are a Division I-best 30-2 since the start of the 2011 season.

The Bison (2-0) are hosting Delaware State (0-2) of the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference on Saturday. NDSU coach Craig Bohl is tied with Rocky Hager (1987-96) for the most victories in program history with 91.

Tailgating lots outside of the stadium will be opened two hours ahead of regular schedule to accommodate fans wishing to be at the GameDay set.

The last time GameDay was at an FCS school was in 2008, when the crew visited Florida A&M for its game against Hampton. The popular show also was at the Grambling-Southern Bayou Classic in 2005 and at Penn for the Harvard game in 2002.
