PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Drake Britton allowed his first run in 22 2/3 innings, but another solid effort along with solid run-support saw the Sea Dogs split their four-game series with Akron on Sunday by a 7-4 final.

Britton's line:  7 innings pitched, 5 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), 3 walks and a strikeout.  He fell 1 1/3 innings shy of Kris Johnson's team-record for a scoreless streak set back in 2008.

Portland's offense was sparked by outfielder Peter Hissey, who along with hitting his first home run of the season, went 3-for-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.

The Sea Dogs (35-32) will start a four-game series in Reading on Tuesday.
