NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (NEWS CENTER) - Anthony Ranaudo pitched six scoreless innings and Matt Spring was perfect at the plate as the Portland Sea Dogs salvaged a series split with New Britain after a 3-2 win.
Ranaudo improved to 5-1 on the year after striking out five whilst only allowing three hits and three walks.
Spring drove in a pair of runs whilst hitting his third homer of the season.
The Sea Dogs (22-13) are tied for the best record in the Eastern League. They'll open a three-game series with Manchester on Tuesday.
