PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A year ago, very few people knew of Rob Ninkovich, but after a breakout season for New England, the Patriots defensive end drew hundreds for a guest appearance at Hadlock Field.
The Pats leader in sacks and forced fumbles in 2012 threw out the ceremonial first pitch then met with fans afterwards signing autographs and posing for photos as well.
When asked about his eagerness to get back on the field, he said, "WhI'm excited to get back on the field and try and get back to where we were. Agaain, it's a fresh season, it's a fresh start, so we've got to get out there and start from scratch."
The Patriots will have nine days of organized team activites throughout the next month before mandatory minicamp from June 11-13.
