ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The day started, but did not end well for the Maine baseball team as they split their double-header with Hartford at Mahaney Diamond.
The Black Bears ralled in the opener thanks to a four-run sixth inning en route to a 5-3 win. Brian Doran, former Brewer standout Eric White and Mike Connolly all recorded RBIs in that frame.
Maine pitcher Tommy Lawrence threw 6 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on eight hits, while striking out four.

Maine baseball back home at Mahaney Diamond this weekend, hosting Hartford in a doubleheader originally scheduled to be the team's home opener in March. But since the turf was covered in more than a foot of snow that weekend, it was played in Connecticut.
