Dunedin, FL (Sports Network) - David Phelps tossed five scoreless innings and
teamed with four other Yankee pitchers on a seven-hit shutout as New York
downed Toronto, 3-0, in a Grapefruit League matchup.
Phelps yielded just three hits and a walk while striking out three batters,
with Vidal Nuno working the final 2 1/3 innings and scattering a pair of hits
to notch his first save of the spring.
Juan Rivera went 3-for-4 and drove in all three Yankee runs with a bases-
loaded double in the top of the fifth.
Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ was not scored on over the first 3 1/3 innings
before giving way to Brett Cecil, who gave up all three New York runs (2
earned) while walking three over a 1 1/3-inning stint.
