Boone, NC (Sports Network) - Appalachian State first-year football coach Scott
Satterfield named Dwayne Ledford and Frank Ponce as co-offensive coordinators
on Thursday.
Ledford is in his second year as Appalachian State's offensive line coach and
will coordinate the Mountaineers' running game. Ponce spent the last six
seasons at Florida International, and will coordinate the passing game and
coach the quarterbacks.
Ponce worked alongside Satterfield at FIU during the 2010 and '11 seasons.
Satterfield replaced longtime Appalachian State coach Jerry Moore after last
season, when the Mountaineers finished with an 8-4 record and No. 9 ranking in
The Sports Network/FCS Top 25.
