Maine men and women lose conference games to Albany

ALBANY, New York (NEWS CENTER) -- Both the Maine men's and women's basketball teams lost conference matchups to the Albany Great Danes on Saturday. The men lost 76-63, while the women fell, 71-39.

The loss is the 2nd straight for the men. The Black Bears were led by sophomore Ali Fraser who scored 16 points and recorded 9 rebounds. He was named the America East Player of the Game. Maine now an even 2-2 in the conference and 7-10 overall. The Black Bears will host Binghamton on Saturday at 2pm in the Pit.

The Maine women losing their 12th straight game this season. They are 0-3 in the America East. Former Leavitt High School standout Courtney Anderson led the Black Bears with 11 points. She was also named the Conference Player of the Game. The women will host Boston University on Tuesday at 7:30pm.
