Landover, MD (Sports Network) - Robert Griffin III posted the biggest win of
his rookie season as his touchdown pass in the fourth quarter helped
Washington edge New York, 17-16, in an NFC East battle at FedEx Field. With
the win, the struggle for the top spot in the division got a little
closer as the Giants (7-5) now hold just a one-game lead over the Redskins
(6-6) and Cowboys, who defeated the Eagles on Sunday night. Griffin passed
for 163 yards on 13-of-21 attempts and added 72 yards on five carries as
Washington won its third straight, all against division opponents. Alfred
Morris carried the ball 22 times for 124 yards while Pierre Garcon caught
eight passes for 106 yards and a touchdown in the win. Eli Manning was 20-
for-33 with 280 yards and a touchdown and Martellus Bennett had five catches
for 82 yards and a score for the Giants, who have dropped three of their
last four. Ahmad Bradshaw totaled 103 yards on 24 carries along with two
catches for 13 yards and Victor Cruz grabbed five passes for 104 yards in the
loss.

Final Score: Buffalo 34, Jacksonville 18
Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - Despite only passing for 112 yards, Ryan
Fitzpatrick did account for three touchdowns in leading the Buffalo Bills to a
34-18 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fitzpatrick threw touchdowns to
Stevie Johnson and Scott Chandler to go along with a rushing score. He
completed only 9-of-17 attempts. The Buffalo tandem of Fred Jackson and
C.J. Spiller combined to run for 186 yards. Jackson finished with 109 yards
on 25 carries, while Spiller totaled 77 yards -- 44 of which came on a
fourth-quarter touchdown -- for the Bills (5-7). Chad Henne was 18-of-41 for
208 yards with one touchdown and an interception for Jacksonville (2-10).
Final Score: Seattle 23, Chicago 17 (OT)
Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Sidney Rice's 13-yard touchdown catch in
overtime lifted the Seattle Seahawks over the Chicago Bears, 23-17. Rice ended
with six catches for 99 yards for the Seahawks (7-5), who have won three of
four. Golden Tate hauled in five passes for 96 yards and a score. Russell
Wilson completed 23-of-37 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns for Seattle,
which improved to 2-5 on the road this season. Wilson also carried the ball
nine times for 71 yards. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 87 yards and a
touchdown on 19 carries for the victors. Jay Cutler connected on 17-of-26
passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns for the Bears (8-4), who are tied
with the Packers for first place in the NFC North. Green Bay beat the
Vikings on Sunday. Matt Forte carried the ball 21 times for 66 yards and
caught three passes for 30 yards and a score. Brandon Marshall hauled in 10
passes for 165 yards.
Final Score: Indianapolis 35, Detroit 33
Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Andrew Luck and Donnie Avery got together on a
14-yard score on the final play of the game as the Indianapolis Colts shocked
the Detroit Lions, 35-33, at Ford Field on Sunday. The Colts (8-4) were
down by 12 points late in the game, but went on two straight scoring drives
that Luck capped with touchdown passes to help the team win for a sixth time
in the past seven games. Luck finished the game 24-for-54 for 391 yards with
four touchdown passes and three interceptions, while also totaling 33
rushing yards on three carries. Avery caught two of the scores, while
LaVon Brazill and Coby Fleener each caught a touchdown pass in the win.
Detroit's Calvin Johnson continued his fantastic run with 13 catches for 171
yards and a touchdown. Matthew Stafford passed for 313 yards, two touchdowns
and an interception on 27-of-46 attempts, while Brandon Pettigrew also
caught a touchdown pass for the Lions (4-8), who have dropped their past four
games to hurt their chances of consecutive playoff appearances.
Final Score: Green Bay 23, Minnesota 14
Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - Aaron Rodgers threw for 286 yards and a
touchdown and the Green Bay Packers scored 13 unanswered points in the second
half to rally for a 23-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.
James Starks accounted for the go-ahead score with a 22-yard run late in the
third quarter and Mason Crosby kicked three field goals to help Green Bay
(8-4) bounce back from last week's 38-10 loss at the New York Giants, which
ended a five-game winning streak for the defending NFC North champions.
Rodgers completed 27-of-35 passes with one interception for the Packers, who
have now prevailed in five straight meetings with the Vikings and 10 in a row
against divisional foes. Minnesota (6-6) was dealt its fourth defeat in five
games despite a 210-yard, 21-carry effort from Adrian Peterson that
included a career-long 82-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. The
star running back eclipsed the century mark for the sixth consecutive
contest, breaking a team record he had shared with Robert Smith. While
Peterson was outstanding, Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder
struggled. The second-year pro managed just 119 yards with a touchdown, while
tossing two interceptions and hitting on 12-of-25 attempts.
Final Score: Kansas City 27, Carolina 21
Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - An already challenging season for the
Kansas City Chiefs only got tougher following Saturday's tragic events. But
the show went on. And somehow the Chiefs avoided tying their longest losing
streak in franchise history. Just over 24 hours after linebacker Jovan
Belcher fatally shot his girlfriend before taking his own life at the team's
facility, the Chiefs resiliently took the field and downed the Carolina
Panthers, 27-21, snapping their eight-game slide. Brady Quinn threw for 201
yards and two touchdowns on 19-of-23 efficiency for the Chiefs (2-10), who
avoided joining the 1987 and 2007 Chiefs as the only teams to lose nine
straight games in franchise history. Jamaal Charles carried the ball 27 times
for 127 yards in the win. Cam Newton completed 15-of-27 passes for 232
yards and three scores, while adding 78 yards on the ground for the
Panthers (3-9), who downed the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.
Final Score: New England 23, Miami 16
Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots clinched the AFC East on
Sunday. It was far from easy, however. Tom Brady's rhythm was disrupted by a
spirited Miami defense, but the Patriots capitalized on several miscues on
their way to a 23-16 victory at Sun Life Stadium. Brady was 24-of-40 for
238 yards with one touchdown pass to Wes Welker and a rare interception.
Stevan Ridley scored on a short touchdown run and picked up critical yards on
a fourth-quarter drive to help New England (9-3) prevail and capture the
division crown for the 10th time in 12 years. Welker had 103 yards on 12
grabs, tying Jerry Rice's NFL record for most games with 10-plus receptions at
17. Rookie Ryan Tannehill completed 13-of-29 passes and finished with 186
yards for the Dolphins (5-7).
Final Score: NY Jets 7, Arizona 6
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Greg McElroy came in relief of Mark
Sanchez in the third quarter and passed for the lone touchdown of the game
to Jeff Cumberland, as the Jets escaped with a 7-6 victory over the
Arizona Cardinals in an otherwise offensively challenged football game. Tim
Tebow, the regular backup to Sanchez, was inactive for the game due to a rib
injury. For the first time in his career, McElroy was active for a regular
season game and took advantage of the opportunity in helping the Jets (5-7)
get back on track after an embarrassing blowout loss to New England on
Thanksgiving night. McElroy completed 5-of-7 throws for 29 yards, including
his 1-yard toss to Cumberland early in the fourth quarter. Sanchez threw
three first-half interceptions and threw for just 97 yards on 10-of-21
passing before being pulled. Arizona rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley may
have been worse, however, as he was constantly harassed by the Jets
defense. He completed just 10-of-31 throws for 72 yards with an
interception and failed to help the Cardinals (4-8) convert on a single
third down. They finished 0-for-15 for the game in suffering their eight
straight defeat following a 4-0 start.
Final Score: St. Louis 16, San Francisco 13 (OT)
St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - For the second time in three weeks, the St.
Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers battled past regulation in a hard-fought
NFC West tussle. But unlike their Week 10 meeting, Sunday's eerily similar
tilt ended with a winner, as Greg Zuerlein connected on a 54-yard field
goal with 26 seconds remaining in OT to give the Rams a 16-13 victory at
Edward Jones Dome. St. Louis (5-6-1) remained unbeaten against division foes
despite being held to 293 yards. Steven Jackson, one week after amassing
a season-high 139 rushing yards, was limited to 48 yards on 21 carries,
while Sam Bradford completed 26-of-39 passes for 221 yards. This was the
first loss for division-leading San Francisco (8-3-1) since a 26-3 thumping
by the New York Giants on Oct. 14. Colin Kaepernick, in his third game as
starter after Alex Smith suffered a concussion against the Rams, had two
costly mistakes in the setback. The inexperienced signal-caller was
whistled for a safety and lost a fumble that resulted in a tying touchdown
and two-point conversion with 3:04 to play in the fourth quarter.
Final Score: Houston 24, Tennessee 10
Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Matt Schaub completed 21-of-35 passes for 207
yards and two touchdowns to lead the Houston Texans to a 24-10 win over the
Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The Texans' defense forced three interceptions
and recovered three fumbles, while Arian Foster carried the ball 14 times
for 38 yards and a touchdown and Lestar Jean had a 54-yard touchdown
reception for Houston (11-1), which clinched its second consecutive playoff
berth with the win. Tennessee's Jake Locker was 21-for-45 passing for 309
yards and a touchdown, but threw three interceptions. Nate Washington had
three catches for 96 yards and Chris Johnson rushed for 51 yards on 13
carries for the Titans (4-8), who have dropped four of their last five games
overall.
Final Score: Denver 31, Tampa Bay 23
Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Peyton Manning had three touchdown passes and
the Denver Broncos clinched the AFC West with a 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers. Manning went 27-for-38 with 242 yards and an interception as the
Broncos (9-3) won their seventh straight game and clinched their division
for the second straight year and 12th time in franchise history. Also, Manning
moved past Dan Marino for second place all-time for completions and now
has 4,986 for his career. Demaryius Thomas totaled eight catches for 99 yards
and two touchdowns, while Knowshon Moreno had 69 yards on 20 carries and added
four catches for 14 yards in the win. Josh Freeman went 18-for-39 with
242 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, with Mike Williams and
Dallas Clark each catching a scoring pass in the loss for the Buccaneers
(6-6), who have dropped their past two games. The loss by Tampa Bay allowed
Atlanta to clinch the NFC South. The Falcons had defeated the New Orleans
Saints on Thursday night.
Final Score: Pittsburgh 23, Baltimore 20
Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Shaun Suisham buried a 42-yard field goal as
time expired on Sunday and the Pittsburgh Steelers exacted a bit of revenge
against the Baltimore Ravens with a 23-20 triumph at M&T Bank Stadium. The
Ravens defeated the Steelers, 13-10, in Pittsburgh just two weeks ago, but
third-string quarterback Charlie Batch, making his second straight start in
place of Ben Roethlisberger and Byron Leftwich, was able to chew up the final
6:14 of game clock with a 12-play, 61-yard march that culminated in Suisham's
game-winning kick. Batch finished 25-of-36 passing for 276 yards and a
touchdown with one interception. Jonathan Dwyer carried the ball 16 times
for 49 yards and a score for Pittsburgh (6-6), which bounced back from
an eight-turnover performance in a 20-14 loss to Cleveland last weekend.
Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco completed 16-of-34 passes for 188 yards and a
touchdown with one interception, while Ray Rice rushed for 78 yards and a
score on 12 carries for the Ravens (9-3), who had won 16 consecutive home
games since a 13-10 setback to Pittsburgh on Dec. 5, 2010.
Final Score: Cleveland 20, Oakland 17
Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Brandon Weeden threw for 364 yards and a
touchdown to help the Cleveland Browns take a 20-17 decision over the Oakland
Raiders on Sunday. Weeden overcame two first half interceptions to complete
25-of-36 throws. He led an important touchdown march late in the fourth
quarter to help secure the victory, the Browns' (4-8) first on the road this
season. Trent Richardson capped Cleveland's final score with a touchdown run.
He ran for 72 yards on 20 carries to give the Browns their second straight
victory. Josh Gordon finished with a career-high in both receptions and yards,
hauling in six passes for 116 yards and a touchdown in the win. Carson Palmer
passed for 351 yards and two touchdowns on 34-of-54 attempts for Oakland
(3-9), but his interception in the fourth led to the Browns' touchdown.
Brandon Myers hauled in a career-high 14 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown
in the Raiders' fifth straight loss.
Final Score: Cincinnati 20, San Diego 13
San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Andy Dalton shook off two interceptions by
capping a late scoring drive with a go-ahead touchdown run in the fourth
quarter, as the Cincinnati Bengals escaped Qualcomm Stadium with a 20-13 win
over the struggling San Diego Chargers. For the fourth time this season, the
Chargers blew a fourth-quarter lead, as Dalton culminated a 14-play, 55-yard
drive that ended with his 6-yard plunge over the goal line for a 17-13 lead.
Philip Rivers fumbled deep in his own territory on the ensuing possession and
threw an interception in the end zone in the final minute to seal the
Chargers' (4-8) fourth consecutive loss. Cincinnati (7-5) stayed in the AFC
playoff hunt by running its winning streak to four games. Dalton finished
with 211 yards and a touchdown on 25-of-39 attempts, while BenJarvus
Green-Ellis reached the century mark on the ground for the third straight
week, gaining 118 yards on 25 carries. Rivers started strong but completed
just 26-of-48 passes for 280 yards. Demorrio Williams scored San Diego's
lone touchdown on an interception return.
Final Score: Dallas 38, Philadelphia 33
Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - Tony Romo threw for three touchdowns,
including the go-ahead, 6-yard score to Dez Bryant late in the fourth quarter,
to lead the Dallas Cowboys past the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-33, on Sunday
night. Romo completed 22-of-27 passes for 303 yards and three scores to give
him 168 passing touchdowns in his career and make him the Cowboys' all-time
leader in passing TDs. Troy Aikman previously held the record with 165. Bryant
finished with 98 yards and two scores on six receptions, while DeMarco Murray
returned from a six-game absence and racked up 83 yards and a touchdown on 23
carries for Dallas (6-6). Jason Witten had a game-high 108 yards on six
catches in the Cowboys' third win in four games. Nick Foles went 22-for-34
through the air for 251 yards and a touchdown in his third consecutive start
for Philadelphia (3-9) in place of an injured Michael Vick. Bryce Brown
followed his impressive debut with another big game, recording 169 yards and a
pair of touchdowns on 24 carries, but lost a costly fumble late in the fourth
quarter as the Eagles dropped their eighth straight game for the first time
since opening the 1968 campaign at 0-11.
Thursday, November 29th
Final Score: Atlanta 23, New Orleans 13
Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Falcons made a statement Thursday
night, picking off New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees a career-high five times
and ending his remarkable consecutive games streak with a touchdown pass in a
23-13 victory over the Saints at the Georgia Dome. Matt Ryan completed 18-
of-33 passes for 165 yards with a touchdown for the Falcons (11-1), who
avenged their lone defeat of the season and snapped a four-game losing
streak to the Saints. Atlanta also clinched the NFC South division title when
the Buccaneers lost to the Broncos on Sunday. New Orleans (5-7), meanwhile,
saw its playoff hopes become even slimmer with its second straight loss.
Brees, who had 341 passing yards, failed to throw a touchdown pass
for the first time since Week 4 of the 2009 campaign, snapping a his
NFL-record streak at 54 games.
