HAMPDEN (NEWS CENTER) - The Richmond girls came into the Class D soccer final as two-time reigning state champs.  That experience ultimately was the difference as they outlasted state final debutants Washburn 2-1 on penalty kicks. 

It's Richmond's ninth state title in program history.
