NEWS CENTER- The Waynflete boys got their first sniff of a soccer state final back in 2008 when they came up short 2-1. Those freshmen redeemed as seniors as the Flyers took home the title last fall by that same 2-1 margin. Now the reigning champs are looking to be just the 5th school in Class C history to repeat.
Brandon Salway enters his 23rd year guiding the Flyers. The team's inherited has a lot of attacking prowess from a year ago, but lost some of their mettle in the midfield with their 6 graduated seniors. Even with all those departures, they now have the highest of expectations.
