NEWS CENTER-Winters can be especially long for ballplayers in Maine, waiting for the weather to warm up and the diamonds to dry out. Now, the Umaine baseball and softball teams won't have to worry about the conditions as much, thanks to a new batting pavilion that was constructed over the summer.

Paul Mitchell, who played for the Black Bears during the 1940s, was in Orono today as the facility was named in his honor.. News Center's Melissa Kim was there to capture his and the current coaches excitement about the Black Bears new cave.
