DUFUR, Oregon (KGW) -- A 5-year-old Oregon girl is fighting to save her rooster, which she considers to be her best friend.
Ayla Macnab and dozens of supporters packed a Dufur town council meeting Tuesday in an effort to save Dallas, Ayla's pet rooster.
The two have been close companions for the past two years, but recently one of the Macnab family's neighbors filed a noise complaint.
The family argues that Dallas lived at their Dufur home before the current noise ordinance was passed, and should be grandfathered in.
Dufur Mayor Arthur Smith postponed ruling on the matter, saying he wants time to consider what's best for the town.
