The Bangor Police Department responded to a report of a taped-up box wrapped in paper on the lawn near the Dunkin Donuts on Hogan Road in Bangor. The manager told police that the package wasn't there when the store opened earlier that morning.
Officers evacuated the business and blocked off Hogan road for about an hour while they checked the package with an X-ray and robot.
Bangor Police found what appeared to be a cinder block wrapped with heavy paper and packing tape. Officials say technicians will analyze the evidence for fingerprints and DNA. The department will also view surveillance video to determine how the block got there.
