VALLEY CITY, North Dakota (KVLY) -- An armed citizens neighborhood watch might sound intense, but it's an item that was brought up at Monday night's city commission meeting in Valley City, North Dakota.
"We need to be aware that crime is taking place in this small town," says Valley City resident Robert Drake.
At noon time in Valley City, cars fill the towns main street.
But Drake says it's what's happening at night, that fills him with grief.
"Six churches were broken into and 11 fights in one weekend. That's not a good thing, we need to do something," says Drake.
It's a fact that crime is going up in Valley City, but Drake says police aren't doing enough to stop it.
