DREW COUNTY, Arkansas (KARK) -- Gail Hyatt has a calm presence amidst the chaos of the Drew County, Arkansas emergency dispatch room.
"In two weeks," she said. "I'll be here 30 years."
She hardly has a second for an interview, but she will find the time this morning to meet a man she's responsible for saving.
"I'm just anxious to meet her finally," Michael Fritts said. "Kind of scary how close you can be with someone and not even know what they look like."
Fritts was trapped by the Drew County forest fire last week.
Hyatt encouraged him for 35 intense minutes to not give up.
They were introduced this morning.
"If it wasn't for you I'd be dead," Fritts said.
