Lance Wilson died of a single gunshot wound Sunday.
24-year old Zachariah L. Grisham, the live-in boyfriend of Wilson's mother, has been charged in the case.
"At this time we don't believe there was any intent," said Det. Sgt. Andrew Hynek with the LaPorte County Sheriff's Office. "However, there was obviously some culpability with Mr. Grisham and his actions."
