BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- It was a sea of pink along the Bangor waterfront Sunday for the Susan G. Komen Race for the cure.
In it's 17th year in Bangor, this year's breast cancer benefit brought out more than 35-hundred people to the waterfront area. Following an emotional ceremony for breast cancer survivors, the race was under way.
Survivors, along with friends, family and community members, had the choice to run or walk in either the 5K or the 1K course.
If you were not able to make it out to the race, there's still a month left to donate. You can help by visiting their website at komenmaine.org.
